Spring Concert

The IHS Spring concert is Wednesday, 5/12. The music composition that was commissioned by Music Boosters as a retirement gift to Mr. Gunlicks will be performed at this concert. Here is your chance to hear this special music if you missed the performance at Severance Hall. Rumor has it that there may be a special guest conductor joining us as well.

Beyond the Classroom

If your student is interested in pursuing membership in a music ensemble outside of school, there are several wonderful groups in the Cleveland area. One is The Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony. This ensemble will be performing at Brecksville-Broadview Hts High School, this Monday evening (5/3), at 7:30pm. There is a $5 admission charge to experience the best high school musicians in Northeast Ohio. It's a great musical experience.

The auditions for this and several other groups are held in May & June. Contact Matt Schatt or Meghan Campbell for more information on these groups and upcoming audition dates. The Boosters recently voted to sponsor a scholarship fund to assist families that would like to participate in these honors type music experiences. Details are being discussed at our next meeting and more information will be coming. Money will be available in the Fall to participants in the Music Booster organization.
